Medway Marathon Weekend

A smaller than usual Tideway group took part, with our Hawk 20 Tanni joining Simon Whiteley’s own Hawk for a cruise into the Medway backwaters on Saturday in a good sailing breeze, and lighter winds on Sunday for the 26 mile race down to the mouth of the Medway and back. No prizes this year - Simon managed to sail the wrong course despite having done the race several times before, so retired after finishing - but a good weekend’s sailing with new experiences for a number of those taking part.
